A very satisfying experience👍The hotel was booked many days in advance. Two days before check-in, we received a call from the hotel, welcoming us to check in and informing us that they had prepared a free dinner for us on the day of check-in (a service that we didn't see when booking). We received warm and added value before we even arrived. It was raining on the day of check-in, and Miss Fu and her colleagues helped unload the luggage and arranged various matters for us to watch the monkeys the next morning. The service staff I met during the entire stay were very sincere and enthusiastic, and I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to them again🌹

The Expert Villa is located in the core area of ​​the Yunnan Golden Monkey National Park. The rooms are all on the first floor, with high roofs and a very large overall space. After getting up in the morning, I took a walk in the park. It was so quiet with only the sounds of birds and the occasional call of golden monkeys. The mist was rising, and it was like a fairyland. The monkeys were very close to the room and even climbed over the roof one by one when we walked back to the forest at noon. The hotel waitress is a local ******* girl, very simple and kind. There are also Lisu, Yi and other ethnic groups in the area. The people who are most familiar with the Yunnan golden monkey are mainly the Lisu people. They have lived in mountainous areas for a long time and are more familiar with the habits of monkeys. During this self-driving tour of the northwest Yunnan loop, the road from Tacheng to Weixi is the best, and the rural governance is also the best. From the local farmland with crisscrossing paths, the neat and beautiful houses, and the clusters of flowers dotted in the wheat fields from time to time, it can be seen that the local cadres are really managing the country seriously. Give them a thumbs up!

The room is great, the view from the large floor-to-ceiling windows is also great, the location is the highlight, close to the monkey viewing point, it should be the hotel deepest into the reserve, I hope the food variety can be richer.

I am at a loss for words on how to evaluate this hidden gem of an accommodation in a national park. The wild luxury style is simple and elegant, the sanitary conditions are first-class, the bedding is as comfortable as that of a five-star hotel, the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows face the alpine grassland, and the entrance to the monkey viewing trail is right outside the door. A few additional notes: 1. The hotel currently does not offer Chinese food, only Western food. The restaurant has the same chef and menu as the Mee Mee restaurant at the park gate. The food is good, just like any other Western restaurant in a big city. 2. Hotel guests do not have any priority treatment for viewing monkeys. In fact, they can only watch the monkeys with the first group of guests entering the park in the morning. You must follow the leader of this group of guests, who will take you to the observation point for the day. At the beginning, the monkeys will be far away, but don't worry, the monkeys will slowly approach you. After about half an hour, there will be more monkeys and they will be closer. 3. Many reviews said that you need to buy tickets to stay in the hotel, but we didn’t buy any. The hotel has recently increased its prices, and it feels like the ticket price has been included. 4. The nearest town to the hotel is Tacheng Township, which is about 20 minutes' drive away. It is recommended to go to the township supermarket in advance to buy some food and drinks, because the hotel really has nothing except meals. 5. The trail entrance is next to the hotel. Monkeys are only there in the morning. If you arrive early in the afternoon, you can walk around the trail, but don't destroy the plants in the reserve. The natural conditions in the national park are still very good. Just don’t take the Ancient Tea-Horse Road, which is 20km long and has no end, and is not safe.
